The new platform is known as Modular Standard Platform and it is specifically made for big autos whose engine is installed at the front and cars that use rear and all-wheel drive options. The 2017 Porsche Panamera will also be offered with a hybrid variant combined with battery technology intended to trim down on the car’s weight. Thanks to the new platform that will incorporate use of top-quality steel and aluminum among other composite products, the new Panamera will be lighter and rigid than earlier models.
