The 2016 Toyota Avensis is expected to hit the market very soon. However, there is no official communication from its manufacturers, but rumors are already circulating that this new 2016 Toyota Avensis will acquire some new features and possibly a redesign.
2016 TOYOTA AVENSIS: EXTERIOR
Here, several improvements will be made in terms of styling. There is a possibility of a modern and aerodynamic design. Also, 2016 Toyota Avesis exterior is expected to come with a set of 17 inch alloy wheels. Some other additional features like a privacy glass in the rear window and the wiper receptacle are expected on this model. Currently, such offers are only available in the Combo model. The 2016 Toyota Avensis will acquire a number of updates in its front end. There will be a new front fascia, a bigger and improved grille and a modern pair of headlights. The first engine option will definitely be the current 1.6-liter Valvematic gas engine which generates 132 horsepower and 118 pound-ft of torque. This current engine, when mated with a six speed manual transmission provides a fuel economy of 28 mpg in the city and 44 mpg on the highway, and 36 mpg combined. Another engine option will be the 1.8-liter Valvematic unit. This unit generates 147 horsepower and 133 lb-ft of torque. The most powerful power train in this car will be the 2.0-liter Valvematic which generates 153 horsepower and 133 pound-ft of torque. This engine comes with a Multidrive S CVT transmission while its fuel economy ratings is at 26 mpg in the city and 41 mpg on the highway, and 34 mpg combined. There will also be a diesel engine option which is presumed to come down between a 2.0-liter and a 2.2- liter D-4D diesel engine. This engine generates 150 horsepower and 250 pounds-ft of torque. Furthermore, this diesel engine will have an EPA fuel economy of ratings of 42 mpg in the city and 60 mpg on the highway. The diesel engine will be mated with a standard six speed automatic. The cut entry levels include Active, Select, Icon, Edition, Icon Plus and the range topping Excel.

Just as its redesign is unknown, there is also no information on when 2016 Toyota Avensis will come out. However, it is expected to be out sometime in the first quarter of 2016.
