2016 NISSAN ROGUE: ENGINE AND FUEL ECONOMY

The redesigned 2016 Nissan Rogue will come with a standard 2.5 liter 4 cylinder unit which also runs the new Altima mid-size sedan. This four cylinder gasoline power-train will deliver about 170 horsepower and 175 lb-ft of torque. Again, this SUV is also expected to be offered with a hybrid engine alternative. This engine will most likely be a combination of 2.5 liter supercharged engine and an electric motor with a lithium-ion battery. The drive train is suggested to deliver up to 200 horsepower. Both engines are expected to be mated to a CVT transmission. However, critics think that is the automaker offers the CVT transmission; it could be a major fault for the redesigned Rogue. This is because the CVT transmission is rather slow and it might affect the new model’s performance. This SUV will come with standard front wheel drive system and optional all wheel drive.
