2016 Infiniti QX50 redesign

The year 2013 saw the launch of the first compact QX50 from Infiniti, Nissan’s luxurious brand. This model got a solid base in the auto world and it has continued to be triumphant to date. Infiniti QX50 is a compact sedan of the leading Japanese automaker. The automaker wants to dispatch another QX50 model in the coming year. This new model will be made available in different countries including U.S, U.K, Canada and Australia. This upcoming model was showcased at the Millbrook Ground in Bedfordshire, England as the designers carried out some track testing at this facility. The 2016 Infiniti QX50 first debuted during the Detroit Motor Show which took place in the year 2014. The upcoming model  2016 Infiniti QX50 will be offered in four different versions to offer buyers a chance to choose the most suitable model to them. These trims are the QX 50, QX 50 AWD, QX 50 Journey and QX 50 Journey AWD.

2016 Infiniti QX50 will be based on the Essence Concept just like the current QX50 model. Still, some of the features in the outgoing model will be rolled over to the new model. However, some changes will also take place but none of these changes will be significant. This means that the new model will only go through mid-cycle refreshment. Some of the features expected to remain as they are include the QX50 recognizable crescent-shape C-pillar, its deep body section its asymmetrical cabin layout and its three dimensional double arch grille among others. The 2016 Infiniti Qx50 will however receive some slight refreshments on the headlights the bumpers and also the tail lights. This four door sedan will be based on extensive use of aluminum as the main construction material.

Inwards, its cabin will remain as it currently is in the current model. This cabin is characterized by a highly stylish look and increased comfort levels with various high tech features. 2016 Infiniti QX50 will also acquire a perfect infotainment package. It will come with a hydraulic power steering, LCD screens, Bluetooth, an attractive electric assistance, Bose audio system, aluminum roof rails, push start button, heated front seats, moon roof and navigation system. In regards to its safety features, this refreshed auto will get dusk sensing head lamps, child safety locks, remote anti-theft alarm system, headrests, auto delay off head lamps, traction and stability control, emergency brake assist and tire pressure monitor among others.

Under its hood of 2016 Infiniti QX50 there will be a 3.7 liter V6 engine generating 325 horses and 270 pounds-feet of torque. This engine will be mated with a seven speed automatic system electrically controlled, as well as a manual transmission mode. Another most viable engine is also expected. This engine is a 3.8 liter twin-turbo V6 with the ability to generate 560 horsepower and 442 pounds-feet of torque. This engine is also featured in the current luxury sports model, the Nissan GT-R. Fuel efficiency for the base engine is rated at 17/25 mpg city/highway respectively.

There are speculations that the new 2016 Infiniti QX50 will be available sometimes in 2016. The automaker has not yet revealed its actual price, but rumors have it that it might cost about $ 38 000 for the base model. A hybrid variant is also expected to be released featuring a new chassis and other mechanical upgrades. If this happens, the hybrid version will definitely cost much more than the rest of the trims. The new Qx50’s main competitors will be Lexus RX 350, Acura RDX and BMW X3.
