Sources indicate that this generation will be lighter and more modern with plug in hybrid drive option.

The new 2016 Audi Q5 is expected to be a combination of elegance, luxury and also sportiness. It is also rumored that there will be another 3.0-liter engine with 272 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque. For the expected hybrid version, it is rumored to be a 2.0-liter turbocharged inline four which will have an electrical motor. Its horsepower is expected to be at 245 while its torque is believed to be 354 lb-ft. The hybrid energy intake is expected to be much better, with an approximation of 24 mpg within the city and 34 mpg on the highway.

Since there will be varied engine options for the 2016 Audi Q5, its prices are also expected to vary, with the base price being at $32 000. In terms of its release date, it is rumored to take place towards the end of 2016 since its production will begin early the same year. The biggest competitors of new 2016 Audi Q5 on market will be: BMW X3 and Volvo XC60.
